15" speaker for Bassman voiced amp

I've got a Traynor YBA-4 I really like. I'm soon going to try and have it modded to bassman spec but I'm not liking the Jensen speaker I currently have in it. Its really quite wooden and shrill when turned up. It has good qualities as well but it just doesn't work for me. I've been looking at the Eminence Commonwealth 15" and Eminence the Big Ben 15". Could anyone give me any comparison on the two?

I your Jensen in an open back cabinet? If not, try putting insulation in the cab or the speaker in an open back cab.

I tried a Big Ben in my Vibrosonic and didn't like it. Luckily the JBL turned out to be not blown.
EV's are nice.

EVM15L is on my list too! Love the 12L and Force 12 with this amp. Soon I will be able to hear an Altec 418 with it. Anyone have an experience with this one?
This is the first time I've heard a negative word about the Big Ben - also on my list. BadCat, what didn't you like about it?
