yup, he has studied his jazz. that's a lot of practicing you're looking at!!

Check out jack wilkins doing it too:

I studied with him af few years before. Being this close to greatness changes a person.

Thats quite a lesson right there. Ive been following Eric for about 30 years
and that one piece of film right there might be the greatest lesson
ive got in one sitting with him over 30 years.

Of course I cant watch my lessons again as I was not allowed to film
or record ever.

I hope this video is not removed like all the others posted
here seems to follow suit someone posts them and they get
removed shortly afterwards.

I pressed for him to record every show and film but I was ignored.
Shame because ive seen hundrends of shows that were jaw dropping.

Id give this video about a week before its removed.

That is a shame because its quite educational.
Which was my point the entire time I pressed to get them to record.

Glad to see some things are out on video of the man
he should not be bottled up and put away he should be
seen and heard.

Such a talented player.

I wonder if there's ever been another player as popular as Eric who has also had such an expansive chord vocabulary? He makes all those grips look so effortless.

Great stuff playing wise! I'm not a fan of that thin reverby tone though.

Scott Henderson?

Maybe not as popular. But he deserves a nod anyway.

Ah ok. Steve Vai and Guthrie Govan might be contenders.
