How are you guys grounding the bridge on your Tele builds?

I've been making a little loop with the cloth wire from Acme and putting it between the bridge and a pick up spacer and soldering the other end to ground. I'm interested to hear what you guys are doing.
Thanks in advance!

I just let the metal plate on the bridge pickup take care of it.

Erlewine suggests using some thin wire and wrapping it around one of the screws that hold the bridge to the body, as this helps keep the wire in place.

even if the pickup has a baseplate, i always separate out the bridge ground (including said baseplate) from the pickup negative and run another wire for it; that way, if i ever need to change the wiring (polarity reverse say, or series) i can do it without taking the whole bridge assembly off.

I need to start doing this on all mine, also. I've been adding that extra ground lead on all the Tele neck pickups, but I sometimes won't know in advance that I will substitute a neck humbucker with a braided ground lead - so I should do the tele bridge pups as you described, as a routine.

Good idea. Not hard to do a whole batch of them ahead of time, really. Or buy Bill and Becky Keystones; they're already done like that.

This is the way I do it.

This.

Verify continuity between the bridge PU ground wire and the strings with a DMM then you are good to go.

Yes I thought the pickup grounded through the baseplate that is screwed to the bridge plate?
What is gained by adding the extra wire?
