Possible ebay problem!!!!

I won this amp the other day.
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=330369955998

I work midnight and was not home when it went off.
When I got home I emailed right away and asked him to figure out the real shipping and would pay right away.
He wrote back and told me "he would figure it out in a bit."
Heard nothing all day.
Emailed him later ,and said"I have to go to work soon ,please let me know price "
Nothing all night .
Finally a quick message earlier to give my zip.I did immediately.
Still nothing .
Should I be concerned .Going on 3 days ,and he doesn't seem to care.

45 positives, but last transaction was Dec 06. Only one picture of the amp seems odd. And strange he has the shipping rate so high, but goes on to describe that in the paragraph. Other than those quick observations, I don't know what to say. Hopefully he'll contact you soon. Great selling price on the amp, btw!

The problem is that he doesn't want to sell you the amp at that price. At least you have your money still in your pocket.

He's probably looking for a box and is busy working during the day.

It should be fine...........just a bad communicator.

Josh,I think that could be the problem.I'm sure he thought it would go for more.Hell,I thought it would.

Yeah,he never sent me a message the night it went off.I send messages to him and he gets back later.

If he's waiting for me to say I'll pay the crazy shipping, welll uhhh....no way.

like yourself i would be waiting for an immediate reply....thats how i deal w/ business unless my internet connection fails for an afternoon or day or 2 typical problem here with TIME WARNER sometimes it drops daily for a little while
but yes,you now have a money paying customer and that needs to be addresses correctly and promt, after all there is feedback that gets left by customers as well....its not good to look bad...
id be pissed but calm

packing up an amp is a huge PITA. and you can't really know the price until you do that. i'm sure he's just waiting to gte it together before he gives you the final price so that he won't lose money.the high shipping price tells me he threw in a wild estimate to cover himself. yes, he should have figured that out ahead of time, but oh well. you can note the slow shipping and poor communication in the feedback, but if it eventually arrives fine and he was accurate with his description of it then he still deserves positive feedback.

yes, strictly the standard is 3 days to ship it out but no, i wouldn't worry about it. especially since you haven't paid yet.

good luck.

Definitely will get good feedback if it all gets done.

He did tell me before the auction was over that it could use new tubes.

So the price might not be as low as it seems.

Feedback is your greatest leverage. This seems like pretty weak support or response.

I hate the expectation is that everyone expects a 100%. They should earn it. In China/Japan, NO ONE gets 100% feedback. the ratings and expecations in the US are super out of whack.

Give him a low feedback. That will get their attention for the next person they slag off on.

Boom, looks like a great score, even if you're doing a re-tube!!
I've bought, sold & shipped tons of gear on eBay, including a Rivera combo (65lbs), that took extra time & effort to properly box. I'm sure it'll all work out for you.

Billion,I see your point.I would usually be a little more agitated, but this is a good deal,if it goes through.
If anything is messed up with it,the feedback will be ugly.
