OD with Tone King amps

Hi guys,

Which OD pedal works well with your Tone King amps? Those of you who own TK amps, what OD are you using now?

Anyone tried Timmy, Tim, OCD, Klon, FD2 etc etc?

Thanks!

FD2 for me. I had a TIM for a while, didn't like it as much as the FD2.

I play in a pop-rock-blues band (guitar, bass, keys, drums, vocals). I've tried many amps with the band (TopHat, Carr, Bruno, Aiken, Dr. Z, etc), nothing fits as well as the Meteor.

Gsf,

Yup, I think another member on the forum bought his Metro. I was bit shocked too but it is what it is.

Yes, I went back to the Meteor. It has a couple of things that I like (mid control, three knob reverb, power tube options) but it doesn't have the wattage controls of the Metro which are very handy.

I didn't like the OCD with mine, Barber Direct Drive seems to work nicely. Have a Wampler Plextortion on the way to try with it.

Here is a clip of the Metro........this something I can't really do on the Meteor unless I use an OD pedal:

Tone Kings have a pretty uncongested input, so a lot of pedals work well.

I use a FullDrive II and a Menatone Blue Collar - both work great!

What guitar(s) do you favor?

Thanks, Dana

Right now I only have one guitar, Les Paul. From the clips on youtube, PRS sounds better than single coil IMO.

My dream guitar would be either Grosh or Tyler with H.S.S. configuration...I never thought I would be spending more money on the amp than on a guitar.
