Not sure what "best written" means.

Limiting myself to mainstream hits:

"Don't Stop Believin'" was pretty iconic.
So was "Living on a Prayer"

Maybe something by Prince: "When Doves Cry" or "Purple Rain"? "Nothing Compares 2 U"?
Or Bruce: "Dancing In the Dark"?
