Where do you put your 'Vibe?

I am a Univibe addict. Even though the effect is largely considered "old school", I just love that wobbly, throbbing, underwater sound.

I have a Deja Vibe, and Mr. Fuller recommends that the 'vibe goes in front of the chain - after vibe, but before everything else. With the Deja, I have to agree with him. If I put it later in the chain, it would get washed out into oblivion.

I just picked up a Captain Coconut 2 via ebay, and it seems they recommend that the 'vibe goes after Fuzz (maybe after all dirt, with the other modulation FX).

I'll try it both ways when it comes in, but I'm wondering what others are doing.

Maybe different 'vibes work better before or after fuzz/dirt/OD. Experimentation is the best way to find out, but sometimes one can save soem time based on the advice of others, so I'd love to hear about other's experience.

I'm sure you can find some videos on the 'net that show you where to put a vibe for the greatest satisfaction.

Seriously, I'd say before distortion. I don't like the sound after. Only exception might be with a fuzz that demands on being at the front of the chain.

just getting my hands on a lovepedal dork, i'm interested in this too (hopefully without spending hours searching). in the chain after hi-gain pedals, a lot seems to be lost from the vibe.

Depends on how dirty your amp runs. If you're running the amp on the crunchy side and using dirt pedals to goose the amp into more distortion, I'd run the vibe between dirt pedals and amp. On the other hand if you're running a totally clean amp, I'd run the vibe before dirt pedals but after compression and wah.

Lightbulb

My vibes goes first in line. I have not had one occasion where they sound better in any other position other than first in the fx chain.

I go compressor, wah then vibe then dirt. I find that the compressor compresses the throb of the vibe and detracts from the intensity of the effect if the compressor is after the vibe.

Hey, where I put my vibe is nobody's buisness...oh wait - you meant vibe pedal. Ok.

I really have no experience with a vibe pedal and use it seldom. I just assumed that it was a modulation pedal so I stuck in the effects line of the amp!?!?!

I actually use mine after the delays. I like the sound of a slow vibe after loud delay repeats for some wacky sounds.
