Knob on HRDx turns round and round

The volume knob for the clean channel (is it called a "chicken head" knob?) turns all the way around. All of a sudden. Popped it off and the pot works.

How do you fix it? All help is much appreciated it.

And if you can answer this- Why does my shit ALWAYS break?- I'd appreciate it. I can't touch gear, it seems like, w/o something screwing up.

There is a small set screw at the flat edge of the chicken head knob. I set the pot to zero value, then align the knob with zero and snug up the screw.

Thanks, but there is no set screw on the knob.

If it's a push on knob, then you can spread the split shaft a little if it has one, or put a little bit of paper around the splined part of the shaft and then press the knob into place.

As far as your gear 'black thumb' problem, perhaps you need to make a damn good act of contrition?? Three rosaries and sin no more. Light a candle on your way out.

You should be fine.

All kidding aside tube amps are quirky and only marginally controllable which is why we love them. I have often named mine for well known divas-my AC30CC is named Sophia Loren.

I'm sorry to tell you, but the answer lies in the preceding sentences.
