New Fender Thinskin Thinline

I've become somewhat enamored with Thinlines and when I found out that Dave's was doing a special run of Thinskin Thinlines I decided to take the plunge.

This one is coming my way.

This is the prototype. They should be getting the rest of them in sometime next year.

I just checked the website and they've taken down the option for the thin skin thinline. Those prototypes last all but less than a week on the website

Dave Rogers and his staff are the BEST! You will not be dissapointed. I just got back on a day trip from there, it is the Mecca for any guitar enthusist to go there.
They really treat customers right, and also know there products well!
My only problem is I don't ever have enough $$$ to buy all the great guitars he has. I really want the Gibson CS Firebird I in Gold Sparkle!

That's really sweet. Ever since I played one of the 90s Thinline Teles I've really loved those guitars. I'd love to hear what the specs are going to be.

It looks like a high-end bathroom in a McMansion.

Thanks! I was told that the prototype has CS NoCaster pups, an Ash body, vintage neck radius, vintage frets and of course the Nitro Thinskin finish. This one weighs 6 pounds. I'm hoping the neck is like a NoCaster too. I'll provide more details once I get it.

Is this why you were asking about prototypes in a different thread? I played the guitar you are getting while I was sitting in Daves office. Obviously I decided not to get it but not without seriously considering it. Sounds great unplugged and the fit and finish was top notch. It would be mine except for the fact that Dave told me the ones coming out next year will have the more modern radius. I prefer that so I decided to wait.

I can't imagine you'll be disappointed.

Natural only based on my conversation with Dave.
