Merry Christmas to you all!!

Just wanted to say Merry Christmas to you all. The stores broke out the Christmas stuff about a week before Hallloween so I should of sent good wishes then. I was shuffling through radio stations last weekend and they are playing Christmas music already.

Hmmm... if I had a tree up now, it'd be a stick surrounded by a pile o' brown needles by Dec. 25th!

No radio 'round here with full-time Christmas music yet... I feel left out... Maybe that's what pushes me over the edge to get Sirius/XM!

Reality: the lights outside will go up'n'on sometime next week (once it's actually December!) and the tree will come back from the farm a week or so after that. That way, the tree stays nice'n'green until the 12th day of Christmas, Jan. 5th, when it and the lights outside come down.

As I was flipping through radio stations this past weekend, Christmas music was playing on one and I quickly changed it. My wife wanted to listen to it but it's not even Thanksgiving yet so I refused. All the Christmas stuff out seems a bit too early...

I hate starting holiday stuff this early. It really dilutes the holiday for me. By the time it gets here, I'm tired of it. So I happily ignore all this crap until about 2 weeks before Christmas. Funny, my daughter told me that Saks had an ad the other day where they explained they were not putting up Christmas decorations right now, because they were going to celebrate "one holiday at a time". I thought that was hilarious...

Yea, run right over Halloween and Thanksgiving and get to "the season of spending" right away.

WTF.
