Smile Ever video your shows?

I have been the last 3 gigs. Wow a lot can be learned visually and auditory. My tone isn't near as bad as I think.

Yeppers. For us it showed that we need to look up from our instruments more often.

I try to every chance I can...sometimes the truth is tough! It is an essential tool to developing shows though.

Yep, yep, and yep... I critique everything. It's a show, and I'm playing a part (beyond the music stuff) I like to see how my 'character' is coming across.

Ever refining the process as well. In case anyone cares... I'm currently using a cheap HD Camera and an H2 set up somewhere near the soundboard. Since almost all video cameras destroy loud audio, I later tweak the H2 recordings and sync them back up with the video. I wind up with pretty darn good room audio this way.

There's an example on my MySpace page.

Yeah I diddle with pedals and gear way too much. Pretty great to hear my room tone though, so different from onstage.
