Buy all guitars!!!

The other day I saw on eBay a mid-90's Japanese-built Ritchie Blackmore Signature Strat; I came across one back then at Sam Ash in Paramus, NJ. Really nice, Duncan bridge and neck Quarter Pounders, no middle pickup, scalloped fingerboard-but at $700.00 it would have been hard for me to purchase, so I passed on it; going back a few months later, then with the money, it was gone, of course.

First seeing a picture of one on eBay was nice, but then I saw the going price: $4,999.00. The copy said that it had been only one of a 100 built.

If it sells for that, or more, I might just cry...

Therefore, if we buy every guitar that's out there, we're covered...right? right? Why are you looking at me like that?

You're killing me! I passed up a green (my fav color) '62 RI Strat last night to maintain the delicate Holiday peace at the in-laws house. Sensing I am going to regret that one.

That has happened to me more than I would like to admit.
A couple of weeks ago I too passed on a green Strat and when I went back the next day, she was gone.

Yeah, that's happened to me a few times. It's annoying. There is always someone out there more nervous than I am, who is willing to jump prematurely on a guitar. You'd think that your patience, good sense and rational planning would be rewarded, but no. The guitar goes to the knucklehead who's willing to overpay.

I've actually breathed a sigh of relief when I've gone back the next day with money-in-hand, and the guitar is gone; I knew all along I really didn't need it anyway. If it REALLY spoke to me that much, I would have bought it on the spot, I guess.

If I did that I'd never get what I want. Sure, I'd have liked to own that Mosrite but the guy was over across the pond. Besides, Maybe the guitar was made out of factory seconds seeing that it was made with leftover parts after the initial run.

I still want to get a Mosrite... Just not that one.
