Man I wish the Honey Bee was more accessable.

I really do want one of these but with the price and wait I am not so far tempted to go there. I will probably end up getting a MP SHOD or another Screw Driver. The youtube of the SHOD with an LP sure sounds (and looks) like what I want from this next pedal buy. I know I really love the dynamics of the SD set low though as well, and so 2 of these sure would be sweet as well.

Ah ... the old 2 great options can't go wrong decision.

all these pedals are great.

honey bees come up regularly at the emporium and keep their value pretty much.
can't go wrong either way.
plus - get on the list at custom-sounds/thesegoto11.

I have both...will probably get rid of te SHOD...The HB is just special. It sounds great on it's own, but is the BEST "gooser" or pre pedal for any other ODs or distortions. Simply magical when I put it in front of my Jester, EGMD, Sonic Titan, etc!!!

Get a HB. Worth every penny

What they implied, it doesn't cost much to try. You can flip it for what you pay for it in the emporium. (but it really is that good)/C

The SHOD and HBOD are very different, so make sure you chose the right one. I LOVE my HoneyBee! They are not that much more than a SHOD if you keep watch in the emporium, and you sure wont lose much if it isn't "all that" to you. Just give it time as it can be tricky since the Nature knob is different than a tone control on most pedals.

Like others have said it is a great pedal to "goose" or "be goosed" by other pedals. In the end I liked mine and the end of the dirt chain since it acts like a 5e3 (my regular amp).

At $400 I am not someone who is willing to wait 6 or more months. At $200 the wait time is easier as that is not an amount I have to deal with on the home front. When we get to $400 I need to make the deal go fast and be timed right for it to work out on the home front.

FYI - when I ordered one from custom sounds several months ago, I received my email within 1 month, it may be a bit longer now, but it is propbably not 6 months.

BJFE HBOD = SWEET!

They're well worth the $ and, as noted by others, they come up fairly frequently on the effects emporium

For the record, I tend to run mine at the end of my distortion/fuzz/OD section.

I've said it before. Of all my OD's, its my favorite.. I currently have a Timmy, BBOD, MRD, DRD, Ethos, LGW, RC & an EGDM. the handles all these, before or after. I think of the HB as an amplifier and not an OD because of its versatility.
