*****JMJ Love****

Alright, I got this JMJ used about 4 months ago and am in utter LOVE! This is hands down the BEST amp I have ever owned. I use it for flat out rock n' roll, but it can chime like no other! I'd like to see how many JMJ's are out their and please post pics.

I won't post a pic of mine since it'll look just like yours ebenezer, but I too am a new owner. I really can't believe this thing. I'ts my third 4-el84 amp and this one is what I've been looking for. I've also got to try it side by side with a bruno ug30 reverb. I like the bruno too for the more clean (the reverb adds a different flavor) ac30 tones, but the breakup on the JMJ is like no other.

Mine is about 3 yrs.old now...spent half a morning today Christmas cranking it full blast at home (good neighbors)...just an amazing machine, esp. with my NCM 2x12 loaded with vintage '66/'67 transitional Vox Silver Celestions. The EF86 channel just moans with complex overtones and harmonics...hell all 3 channels do in spades. Man what an amp at any price. It really is the best AC amp I think that is out there...thank Santa I got mine in time and happen to hear about them on the PP board...Matt is a stellar designer in my book this thing rocks hard. The only overkill upgrade I can think about doing would be to go mustard caps on the pristine board...of course it already has standard Zoso's.

I did ask Matt to make the head able to accept multiple cabs (this may be std. stuff now) so I can relocate a terminal wire and use 2 16ohm cabs at 8ohms setting on the chassis...I did this for the FIRST time today in 3 yrs. using my '82 Marshall 4x12 with stock G12-65s...just about a perfect combo to bring out a more full bottom blast.

I think rather than going with ASW's or Scumnico's I will try running one 65 and one Silver in the NCM cab...I will need to get an 8ohm 65 though since the vintage Silver is an 8ohm speaker and the 65's are 15ohm....oh well much to think about since I have 2 spare 15ohm 65's laying around.

I guess maybe I should go with a 8ohm Scumback H75 anyway...or ASW70.

Hella amp - thanks again Masco for my JMJ30.

Are the NCM cabs serialized ??...where do I find that info ? I bought mine from a TGPer years ago (great deal, cannot remember the seller).

The cab was/is virtually mint new...the NCM trolley looks fab with my NCM head shell for the JMJ chassis...I custom ordered the head shell in the brown cloth to purposely clash with the black cloth on the NCM 2x12, so it would look like a cobbled together vintage trolleyed rig - which it does in spades. I'll host pics soon.

Got mine about a year ago. An amazing amp for sure,...for clean to flat out rock crunch it's hard to beat. I like the way it sounds best with my '78 Marshall 4x12 w/25w blackback Celestions.

I honestly still can't believe I own one.
