Delay pedal help!!!!!!!!

So in my constant search for the right pedals for my board I've decided I want a new delay pedal. I like having a tap tempo function but it isn't manditory. I prefer the sound of an analog delay in general.

Ive owned a few to date.

TRex Replica Delay - Great sound and functionality
EHX Deluxe Memory Man - wished I'd done the analogman mods
Empress Super delay - currently on my board but there is something lacking in the sound.

I'm curious what others would recommend.

Thanks in advance.

Gives these a shot:

No Tap
Skreddy Echo
MXR Carbon Copy

With Tap
Diamond Memory Lane
Carl Martin Echotone
Boss DD-7
Damage Control Timeline

These are all pedals that are a) current production and b) are analog voiced or are digital but with analog settings accessible.

Good luck!

The Deluxe Memory Boy is supposedly coming out in January, as well.

i used a timefactor for about a year and a half and it is very nice. i ended up selling it and keeping a subdecay echobox. very organic sounding delay and chorus. very easy to tweak on the fly, which was the only reason i got rid of the eventide.

my board will be up in a week or so. I'll post some then. For me the selling point of the timeline over the Empress was the control over the modulation + the ability to save presets. Not to mention you have a couple different tones of delay. The multi head and ping pong modes really sound different than the other modes. Makes for more tone possibilities, options ftw!

You should check out Karl's demos of the Timeline:

http://guitarforworship.wordpress.co...view-and-demo/

Despite its hugeness (and ugliness), it is now on my board. And EVERYONE who's heard it has been blown away.

I'd never even heard of it before but you've sold me on it.

I love my Diamony Memory Lane2!
I've had countless delay boxes (price ranging from the de-7 to the mf-104z), and I really think the ML2 has something special. The EQ and modulation makes it extremely versatile. Beautiful and inspirational sounds.

Thanks for the kind words on the OB.1 Rufus!

In related news, we've just posted a dBucket whitepaper on our web site.

Please feel free to read the white paper on our news page for a deeper explanation. We even go into depth on the differences between the Brigadier and a delay that's merely "analog voiced."
Here's a direct link to the pdf

At the risk of sounding obvious...you can't go wrong with the DD-20.
