Xits 50 - I get it now...

I borrowed a friend's Xits X50 head and had a chance to play it on a big stage this morning w/ bass, drums, percussion, keys, and another guitar plus 4 vocalists. This head has a huge round clean tone with plenty of headroom, as much low end and highs as needed, and takes pedals well. This was into an oversized pine 1x12 closed back cab w/ an early '80s G1265 speaker! I would imagine it would sound bigger with a matching Xits cab and alnico speaker. The controls are simple yet very effective with a wide range of tonal impacts.

Anyone compared these to a Carol Ann ODII w/ EL34s, or another EL34 amp that's clean at sane volumes?

I may be shifting from my Two Rock bent towards one of these rigs...

I want an X50 bad and I just missed one recently in the emporiums.

But, I do currently enjoy both the Piper XTB and Sadie XS.
