Most transparent boost to put after fuzz?

I was thinking of having a fuzz built but I always have a problem with having enough output volume to sit next to (for example) an Eternity of OD with a lot of output volume. Then I was thinking of having a boost circuit built into (after) the fuzz so I don't have to do the pedal dance. I've tried a Timmy and Hot Cake and Rangemaster (clone). The Timmy was most transparent but still not as much as I'd like...what about the SHO or Orman Mosfet boost? Any other suggestions?

EDIT: Most importantly, I really want the fuzz to sound the same whether the boost is on or off, it should just be louder when it's on. That's my main goal.

For pure clean boost, try the Creation Audio 4.23.
The SHO is awesome, too, but is a bit more dirty.
The new Xotic Echoplex preamp is great for beefy, fat boost.

I use a T.C. Jauernig Luxury Drive as a clean boost post fuzz. They're now made by T-Rex. Does the job well.

i too need something to give my fuzzes a bit more output volume without drastically changing the tone of them.

volumes are full up on my fuzzes through a deluxe reverb on 5 and sometimes get lost in the mix, or arent as strong as my king of tone overdrive.

The best clean boost I have tried, and now own, is the
Dr. Scientist "The Cleanness". It has: Volume, Gain, and Low, Mid,
and High EQ knobs. With the EQ, you can shape your tone anyway
you like!

Check it out at:

SHO or anything like it will alter your fuzz tone. You'll need a very clean pedal and still its going to clean up your fuzz.. better word is tighten up. The SHO is a full range boost unlike the rangemaster type boosts and I think it would be the tastiest full range option. That and the durham sexdrive. A bit cleaner and more transparent boost than those 2 would actually be a Timmy. Cant go wrong with a Tim or Timmy. It also gives you the option of a bit of EQ if you want it....

I can't imagine anything better than the timmy for that particular application. It seems like the eq'ing ability would be even more necessary with the fuzz. It seems like some boosts that are pretty neutral might make the fuzz too fat in the bass IMO.

Let us know if you find something better.

Get a Timmy, then you can fix the problems with most fuzz pedals due to the kick butt eq section.

I HAVE a Timmy and it's great but I'm looking for something NEUTRAL and simple that could be built into a fuzz pedal so that when I step on the fuzz, the boost is part of that circuit.

Why not pick up the keeley drop-in wah buffer kit and just install it into the fuzz pedal? ( doesnt keeley make one or am I thinking of fulltone? ) A buffer will give you everything your talking about except any large volume increase/control.

p.s. ( bjfe ppf )

Menatone Das Boost, very clean, ultra transparent with tons of boost.
It's like 129 bucks new. Works in every position on my pedalboard. True Bypass, Brite/Neutral/Dark switch, and PTP wired in the USA.
