Recommend me a small volume pedal.

I'm looking for a good yet small volume pedal. Preferably something with a minimum volume control.

I have a Boss FV300 now and it's huge. With the way I have changed my pedal board up recently I need something much smaller.

I don't think the Ernie Ball pedals have a minimum volume setting. I have the Boss FV300 also. It works great but I agree it's a bit on the large side.

I used to have an Ernie Ball JR. Volume and it was okay. I'm still looking for something smaller and that has a minimum volume control.

The DOD FX-17 has my attention... Are there any others this size?

How about one of the Boss FV-50s? They're pretty small.

Does it make a difference that they're marketed as for keyboards?

FX-17 is it. You can tweak the trimmers inside for minimum volume too.

Morley also made a compact volume pedal for awhile. Probably falls under the "vintage" category now though. And I'm not sure about minimum volume.

I'm skeptical on active volume pedals though, the 9v jack isn't the common barrel type. And the minimum volume on the DOD FX-17 seems like it'd be sort of a pain to adjust on the fly. It also doesn't have a tuner out which I sometimes desire.

I'll try to dig up more info on those Morleys though thanks.

I just looked into them a little more seriously and I think an FV-50H would be perfect.

I'm building a board around a Line 6 M9. I already have a Boss EV-5 I'll be using with it for expression but I want to have a dedicated volume pedal in addition to it. The FV-50H appears to be the same size as the EV-5 which is small enough and it's also got a minimum volume control and tuner out.

Thanks!

The tuner out is not really a deal maker or breaker.

That said, has anyone used an Apex AFP4? It appears to be very similar in size(can someone confirm this?) and style to the Boss FV-50H minus the tuner-out jack.

Low impedance for keys and effects loops, high impedance for guitars.
