When people say "clown burst", aren't they talking about how that "burst" looks in that picture? I hate that too. Yuck.

That black '71 LP Custom I had a while back kinda made me feel like a badass.

My SG (Classic). It's my only SG, and every time I strap it on, I feel like a guitar god. Then I start playing...

You reach a certain stage in life, due to various chronological issues, when

Badass

starts taking on a whole different and unsatisfactory meaning.

My flat black Setzer Hot Rod. That guitar is pure rock n' roll IMO.

My SG is the only guitar to inspire me to do stupid crap like this, so I think it counts!

Sure, but playing a super-cool guitar can take 10 years off....the look ....that may not be enough.

Firebirds are my fav looking, and sounding(!), unplayable guitar.
Like those old leather pants that were so slick, the 'fit' has changed.

OTOH there is that saying that 'you are only as old as the guitar you are with.' So much for vintage appeal.

There's a burst in that photo?

Oh, most of my "badass" moments have to do with plugging my Peavey Grind bass in and shaking buildings...
