My vintage AC-15 Twin is hard to beat. I don't have pictures, but it's the one PlexiPalace had for sale here: http://plexipalace.com/vox/buyit_vox.html

Also my vintage Watkins Dominator V-Front is nice, but kinda a one-trick pony.

I built a Marshall/Vox EL84 amp for my son that is pretty sweet, and that led me to making some new EL84 amps with friends that I like even more.

Well,I voted for the Matchless, which I own,but I suspect Alessandro and the Constellaton must be great too.I wish I had them around!
However, for 18 watt British style EL-84 amps(a different flavor alltogether)I would go for the Mojave Coyote.I've yet to hear a 2 EL-84 amp do the plexi thing so well.

Lots of great amps mentioned here, but my vote goes for the Cage 18/30. Simply superb sounding amp.

Hard to pick just one.

I voted Alessandro English, but I really like my UG30R
and Snake River Vox clone. The Mayfly Bc15 has its own very good thing going too.

Tough question really. My AC15 RI (well, it's not really a RI, just recent) is the complete package for me and continues to impress a year on. Chimey and complex, portable. Master volume. I have a hayseed 30 on the way, so we'll see what happens with that. But really, the Alessandro's are mind-blowing, but while they have uber chime, it doesn't have the same complexity, that jumbleyness, as the ac15 or vintage voxes i've heard.

Aiken Invader MK II 18-watt is another favorite of mine.

Does the Guytron GT-100 count as an EL-84 amp? If so I pick it.

If not I'll have to go with the Maz 18 Jr Reverb.

One great unsung EL84 amp is the Vox Cambridge Reverb. It's a Thomas Organ model. You can see some Fender influence in the circuit, and it shows - it sounds like a cross of maybe a Deluxe Reverb and an AC15, in all the right ways.

I dunno if it's my favorite EL84 amp, though. I've made a few of my own that I'm pretty happy with.

My favorite is the Roccaforte Rockie. It's brand new and I know very few folks have gotten to play one but I love mine. It has the top-end complexity of an AC30, the bottom-end firmness of...well, Doug's bigger amps (which is to say...the low end response is a serious mofo), the touch sensitivity of a good Trainwreck amp and the solid midrange of an older Marshall....all in one small 30W cathode-biased package. Love it!!!
