Prince rocks out...

For your Sunday amusement. (No haters, please.) P through a Marshall, he gets about as much mileage out of this silly tune as possible. As a bonus, best ending ever.

Prince is pretty badass, and one hell of an entertainer to boot!

out of all his many great bands, this one, (the New Power Generation with Michael Bland on drums, Sonny Thompson on bass, Tommy Barbarella on the keys) just might be my favorite

I've seen/heard Prince rock out with much greater guitar solos than this but it was still fun to watch...

Prince breaks a string and slams his guitar, Mayte stage-dives... what's not to like? Now that's rock-n-roll.

Nice Clip. This is the 1st time I've seen it. The only other tune from this set that I've seen is "The Ride" which was really good too. Also nice to hear Prince play with a rawer less processed tone. Mucho respect for Prince. Especially when he takes a break from posturing and delivers some great music.

Yeah, I actually got this gig on a Japanese laserdisc back in the day. "The Ride" is great, Mavis Staples comes out, The Steeles come out and do a gospel rave-up type tune... it's a good gig. And this was after the Act II show at Wembley Arena.

yeah, alot of the best Prince stuff is the live material usually only available on bootlegs... I dig his studio genius (been a fan since '81) but his live shows are legendary

Prince is an awesome musician and a killer guitar player. His guitar skills would be recognized by more people if he wasn't Prince.

I got Jesse Johnson's latest "Verbal Penatration Vols. 1 & 2 about a month ago. Very good stuff. A very welcomed release since it had be 13 years since his last cd. A nice alternative to Prince's recent output which I haven't been feeling for a long time. Check it out if you hadn't already done so.

I guess I am one of these people.
If he did not put so much effort into looking, sounding, acting, walking, talking, and dressing like a girl, I would appreciate his guitar playing more.
