Tele Control Plate Orientation & Playing Swells?
I've been listening to a bunch of tele guys lately and trying to work on Volume & Tone pot swells. How are a lot of these guys doing this?
I'd think it'd be easier to flip the control plate around: Volume, Tone, Switch. But I see all these guys are just using the normal control plate orientation. Is it better to just flip the controls? Or do you have any tips on doing swells on the tone pot (volume pot I'm fine with)? Thanks

I turn it around just for this reason, also if you use a bigsby it is essential IMO.

I have it turned on one tele and 'normal' on the other. Depends on how quickly you want access, I guess...

Years ago someone was making and marketing these belt driver knobs for steel guitar type swells [little ad in the magazines].
Good idea, eh?
