For Generic Winter Holiday this year, I got an absinthe fountain from my wife. But that doesn't hold a candle to what her mother gave me for Christmas last year: A nativity.
This might not sound strange at all, except that I'm Jewish. Yes, she knows I'm Jewish. No, she was not kidding. This is the same person who, several years ago, tried to get me to call my folks on Christmas day, and couldn't understand why I wouldn't feel I should do so. I couldn't understand why she'd even ask, but some things defy explanation.

Not me, but my sister gave my neice a big ol package of....bubble wrap. She even went so far as to wrap her gifts and wrap those gifts in bubble wrap. My neice also wanted pears and Slim Jim sausage sticks.
