Yikes I'm being followed!!! Funny how I agreed with somebody and so did 4 or 5 other guys but I got quoted. I'm embarrassed at the attention. Oops I'm not alone! I feel better now.

Look again........don't flatter yourself. I quote anybody I think needs to be. You ought to be ashamed at picking on a child.

That kid will probably grow up to be a Dentist or a Lawyer and post stupid Youtube videos on TGP all day long!

I have seen years worth of posts about him. Also America's Got Talent. Then the whole bar scene thing in his howm town where the real musicians were upset about losing gigs to him. If you think it OK to push that young a kid into the spotlight with such a proportionally light dose of talent, then we have nothing to discuss. My issue is the kid is going to have rude awakening when he finds out he is nothing special.

It is plain wrong to post all these videos of a young child. DO you think Buddy Guy or Joe B called up the kid to come jam?? Or were they put into that position and of course accepted because he is a kid and they are nice guys..... Then the vids are posted all over the web to give credibility.

I assume nothing. The kids dad is pimping him all over the web. The vids are proof. He had to bring him to the AGT auditions and sign a release to put him on national TV. It was so bad I had to turn it off. The kid is not ready yet.

On the other hand, I do agree this is way better than vegging to Guitar Hero! Doesn't mean I have to like it.....

Who the hell is picking on a child? Read Scott's last post above this one, which I'm in total agreement with. It's a bunch of PR bullshit. I reiterate. He's very good for his age. He may become a monster. But the crap that's going on right now is out of line.

Let me know if you understand this, or I'll try to simplify it a bit more.

My kid has some natural talent and he has a good ear. He is much better at 12 than I ever was. Still, I can barely get him to play. He would rather play first person shooters on his X-Box, or Guitar Hero (which was banned until my daughter wanted it....). I keep telling him the X-Box is never going to get him a girlfriend..but what does his 40 year old dad know?? LOL. To his credit, he went and learned the riff to Raining Blood...only after he played on Guitar Hero.

Your choice of wording , Pimping, is inflamatory and a bit liabliss. You make it sound like his Dad is doing something Evil. Don't fathers send thier Kids to football camps? get them entered into the right schools and shop videos of them to the right college programs? Its called taking an intrest in your child bro. Do you even have Kids? (I do not want to assume you don't)

Please do. I do not see any Crap going on at all. I see a Kid playing a real instrument and getting time to play with real Pro muscians as well. What is the evil crap you speak of? Maybe Joe wants to give back like others did with him at his age? he didn't grow up so bad did he?

Thanks for posting this Flyin'. The kid is just doing his thing. Soccer, Guitar, American Idol, Youth Pageants..All the same shit!!

I saw it as a surf kid growing up. Relentless parents who drove every bit of interest out of a kid who was dripping with talent. My parents were mellow hippies. "Good luck son, and remember to have fun".

I'm happy that it went that way for you. There's a big difference between taking an interest and pushing your kid.

Your folks got it right. HAVE FUN!!

Well, I am pretty much against parents living vicariously through their children. Nothing gets my blood boiling more than those sports dads that coach every league, push the hell out of their kids until it is a chore, not a pleasure, and live for the weekends when their kid can go out and fulfill the parent's dreams and wishes. I vowed to never be like that. Still, I wish my kid would play more guitar. I bought him one when he was 6, and because he expressed interest. I have seen him vastly improve over the years, but I also see him wasting some ability doing worthless stuff...like the X-Box. Still, I am not going to force him, because then he will hate it and resent it. I just try to encourage, and play alot around him.
