Played a Fender Road Worn Strat Yesterday...
Yesterday a friend of mine let me play his Fender Road Worn Strat. I must admit that I am a bit of a cork sniffer, and wouldn't even piss on a Mexican Strat if it was on fire. That being said, I was blown away. I was playing through a Fender Champ and couldn't put it down. We were at a house with a bunch of people and they all came around because apparently I was playing really well.
Did I just get my hands on a special one or are they all that way? I'd love to hear your thoughts. I will be trying it through my Mod 50 tomorrow just to see if this was a fluke, and doing a side by side with my G&L Legacy that I was quite fond of.

Ive played some nice ones ans some piece of crap ones. I really like the feel of my 50's RW strat, maybe i'll change the pups one day but its nice as it is. I did play a recent one and it was terrible. Mine is from 08.

I think almost half of the ones that I've played (60's) were fine sounding Strats... real woody and "musical".
Go figure. . |

I love my '60s RW Strat. I can easily sit and play that guitar for hours on end.
