Should McDanials be fired?

The guys started out his career in Denver by chasing a pro bowl QB out of town. Now he has done his best to get rid of their best reciever while dropping the second half of the season. What the hell is going on?

Yeah, because Cutler has been a world beater on the Bears. I think he was right about him.

Marshall is another world class idiot / diva. Tons of talent, zero brains.

Typical Broncos MO lately is to start hot finish cold. They did better than I thought they would this season TBH.

I loved the game today, but I think McDaniels has done a good job overall. He deserves a couple more years, unless he drives the team into the ground. They fought hard today, just a few mistakes, and I think they underestimated the Chiefs. Hard to blame them after the pasting they laid on them at Arrowhead last month.

Yeah. Sure. Fire him after one season. That'll work great. Start over yet again.

They wanted lil Bill and they got him. Why anyone would expect any different behavior is a mystery.

I doubt it. Bowlen has not shown himself to be exactly quick on the trigger where firing head coaches is concerned.

McHoodie has done fine. I thought he was nuts at first, but a number of his moves have panned out well. Orton's not a world beater, but he's clearly outperformed Cutler. With regard to Marshall, there was a similar blowout early this season. Remember when he punted the practice ball into the stands? McDaniels suspended him, and he responded by going on a tear, catching 100 balls for over 1,100 yards. He seems to respond to a good kick in the ass.

The defense is monumentally improved vs last year. Overall, the team seems to be headed in the right direction. I can't see any reason at all why the coach should be fired. Gotta fix this late-season swoon trend, though.

Give McDaniels a chance. He's cleaning out the problems. Cutler and Marshall are both head cases. Let him bring in some savvy, skilled but not diva players to support Orton and the Broncos (who mind you weren't even considered a playoff team to start the season) will improve. This draft will likely be very important to the future of the club. They are going to scrutinize character very thoroughly to avoid head cases.

It's hard to imagine them winning anything big with Orton. They'll need to address that position at some point. But you don't think Cutler - with his 26 picks this season - was the answer, do you?

ya know, i think this would've been a great year had shanahan stayed and he could've nurtured cutler a bit more....but, that's water under the bridge...the qb spot needs to be addresed...hopefully they'll draft well.

he's done a lot better than I thought... I think he may have been a good choice.. we'll see in two years... Eddie has got to be more consistent. Marshall is their Larry Johnson..

I don't know. It has been proven before that you can win it all (Dilfer), and be highly competitive (Brad Johnson, Hostetler, Garcia) with above average but not great qbs. I agree that Cutler has some growing up to do before he is the answer for anyone. If he doesn't, he will wind up being another Jeff George.
