EB/MM Albert Lee model - school me, please
I don't see much about these. What little I've heard sounds good. Obviously, they do great clean tones, ala Albert Lee himself. Can it do Eric Johnson lead tones? Is the trem floating? I hope not. I don't like floating trems. Any opinions one way or the other?
TIA

The trem is just a standard EBMM/strat type trem, can be set to lower pitch or be set flush against the body. EJ lead tones might be a stretch though! Brilliant axe though, lovely neck.

OK, so I don't have to worry about the trem. I see by your sig you have the AL model. What is it about the AL that makes you feel EJ tones are a stretch? Is the rear pickup too thin?

No the rear pup has the baseplate, its grunty, but I only use it for country stuff. Never tried higher gain tones out of it.

Rob is our defacto AL ambassador on the EBMM boards. I can't think of any AL model he's not played yet!
The AL is ash. I think with the right pup combo, EJ tones wouldn't be too difficult. The guitar is ridiculously comfotable to play though.
