Jimmy Page delay in TSRTS--how can I approximate?

For $150 or lower. I am not a delay guy--I am always thinking that I sound like some 80s shredder when I have one on. But Pagey has that sweet tape echo (I believe) going on in The Song Remains the Same (it is very clear in The Rain Song) that I would love to have available to me on my pedalboard. It is very subtle--you have to listen closely to even know it's there. Is it possible to get this from one of the newer delays out there (Carbon Copy, Memory Boy etc)? Any suggestions on how to set it (I am a delay moron)?

I have a Line6 EchoPark that has good tape simulations and can get you close for just about that money.

From memory, it sounds to me like plate reverb on The Rain Song.

The Carbon Copy should get you close enough. It's a great little delay for the money and a good one to have particularly if you're generally not a delay guy. Nice and simple, dark enough to avoid sounding like a shredder too

Ibanez DE-7 for tape echo sounds. It's cheap at $40 used.

It's used by many players who are into self-oscillation sounds too.

well, theres only three knobs so thats when you just tweak. i like that pedal alot though, even though the malekko ekko intrigues me

echo park is great imho.
I 've used it for sounds similar to the ones you describe and really liked it.
