Why is your FUZZ pedal better than my $19 Danelectro cool cat FUZZ?

I am pretty new to fuzzes and really like my introduction to the fuzz world with my cheap cool cat fuzz.I see their are much more expensive fuzz boxes out their. Are they worth it?Why?

Richer, more complex harmonic content in some cases.

Also, different fuzz circuits have radically different characters.

And don't forget that it never hurts to buy domestic. : )

Because Danelectro steals their pedal designs.

Lately I've been digging the Fuzzhugger AB Synth. I like it because it's got a huge amount of usable gain on tap and is really fun to mess with the "Synth" side of the pedal. It's not a traditional fuzz but it IS really cool!

That said, if you like the Dano, stick with it! I was really amazed at how good the "Chicken Salad" sounded for a vibe pedal. I'd say instead of getting another fuzz, get a treble booster to put in front of it, though I don't know how it would sound with that particular fuzz.

It's cheaper to shop at Walmart, but you won't catch me there.

You know, there is a whole lot of our country that can't afford to shop anywhere else. I'm not at all thrilled about how many independent stores Wal-Mart has put out of business, the same goes for Home Depot, and Guitar Center, but like it or not, that is where we are today. The fact is a lot of us can't afford to shop elsewhere, and that's also why we buy Danelectro Pedals and Mexican Strats. Not all of us can afford Klons, Z-Vex and the like. Let the OP enjoy his cheap Fuzz.

We're talking about a fuzz pedal here. Not much new under the sun in that department.
