Badcat Lil 15
Has anyone tried one of these, looking for something in the grab and go market. I play mainly P&W with a lot of 70 style gain involved. Have been threw alot of different amps over the years and really liked my Electradyne and really dig my 6L6 Shiva now. But the weight on both of them kill my back (the rods in there do not help). These though just seem to be really cool and the sound clip the have on there hits what ilike, but just have never been sold on computer sound clips. I also like the idea of a foot swtich gain boost, really like to get away from pedals.

I have this which equals this
![]() Cool litttle rig ...and talk about heavy! Huge trannies stuffed in a little box with tubes....shocking actually....and the matching cab works perfect....Dial the first channel with a some hair and # two with some heat! Thinking of selling it to finance the Hot Cat but can't make myself do it! Heading in to pick up the HC30r tomorrow so wish me luck. ![]()

anyone have some more info on this amp? how loud can the cleans get? I am not talking sparkling clean fender on 2, but reasonably clean tones.

you will be surprised how load this little amp will get and still be clean. I've been using it with our band for quite some time now, and not because it's so easy to cart around. you can get great sounds out of both channels (footswitch) and it's hard to believe it's only 15 watts. And it's that famous Badcat clean loud and clear. great with pedals too but with the two channels I don't use many anymore, even being a cover rock band.
It's just a great sounding, well made workhorse. |
