i use the attatchment that fits onto my kitchenaid stand mixer.works great.if you don't have one,you can pick up metal stand alone with a crank that does an equally great job.

Ever watch Hanzo The Razor? It's not for the faint of heart. It's old school Japanese. He uses a rice paddle.....

If you cut the meat into cubes then freeze it for about a half an hour, you can grind by pulsing the food processor.

Then you have chopped meat, not ground meat. I grind half chuck half pork shoulder for ground meat tacos. Delicious. Also try grinding a bit of slab bacon with your beef for burgers. For meatballs I use half veal, half pork, a lot of breadcrumbs, some romano and parmagianno, flat leaf parsley, an egg, salt and pepper. I love grinding my own meat. One added benefit is that if you follow good food handling procedures you can cook it much less than is necessary for store-bought ground meat. I use the grinding attachment for my Kitchenaid as well. I need to get the sausage stuffer attachment. That's gotta be a blast.
