Lowell George=genius. Note that the current issue "Little Feat" has about "27" people in the band. I loved the four-piece Feat of the early days (Roy Estrada!).

I was surprised to recently learn that both Sam Clayton and Kenny Gradney came from Delaney and Bonnie's band. Kenny is the big-mouthed, drunken punk spouting off with Bob Weir in the movie Festival Express. They're so cute at that age!

Here's a very enlightening interview with Bill Payne concerning Lowell's decline and ultimate demise. Interesting perspective that he gives comparing Lowell and Jerry Garcia which makes me think about the stories of when Lowell was producing the album, Shakedown Street.
