Not to be picky, but that faceplate is tilted.

Any chance of 6V6s for the Zingaro in the future?

Maybe, I am starting a 2x 6V6 prototype in a couple of weeks. This is a test amp for tweaking purposes.

I'm assuming that the MV on these is as good as on the SOD's? If so, then i don't see the need for 6V6's. One can get a good tone at very low DB levels.

Headroom and onset of breakup aside, 6V6's feel different and and have a different frequency footprint than 6L6's.

Hey Mike, thanks for the reply on my Zingaro thread, I deleted it and will add the question to this thread.

About the loop, will it work well with delay pedals as is or does it need the external loop like some D style amps?

As for gain, I am hoping it will cover RF/LC levels of gain without a pedals?

Cool, that question is more specific! RF/LC easy, no problem. That's about half way (give or take) with humbuckers. Dial it 2/3 to 3/4 up for singles. BTW, my suggestions are based on guitars with low output pickups set away from the strings. YMMV.

The Zingaro essentially has the external loop built in, with a tube drive. Send and return controls. Lots of D-style amps have "dumb" loops, with no tube or ss drive or buffer.

Again, all delay pedals are different, but in general they should work fine. You can sniff around to see what people are using in their buffered loops from all the D style builders.

FWIW--I'm playing my Zingaro with the onboard reverb set low--2-2 1/2 along WITH a WET in the loop, also set low. The WET is not particularly springish, so, though they are very different reverbs, they blend into a very cool "effect" when combined.
