OCD 18v versus 9v

Anyone with an OCD that has tried it on the 18v setting as opposed to the 9v? I got my OCD a little while ago and I still haven't tried it out on the 18v setting and I was wondering if anyone who has one has tried it. I was also wondering how the tones compare between the two settings because I've heard that it's supposed to be different and I wanted to know what kind of tones you got out of it and which ones you prefer.

I have been wondering the same thing with my OCD. I currently have a pedal power 2. I think I am going to have to get the $10 cable to do this.

I like to use it at either 9 or 18 volt. It depends on the application of use. If I'm going to use it for a slight overdrive boost, I like it at either 9 or 12 volts. 18 volts if I'm going to use it full out more like a distortion pedal. Running it at 12 volts is a good happy medium tho to 9 or 18.
Oh, and you don't have to buy a speical connector either! Just change the voltage from 9 to 12 on the Pedal Power 2.

I was under the impression that I was unable to run 18v on my pedal power 2 without purchasing a special cord.

Can anyone give us a bit more detail on this, please?

Does the tone change at all. How about the way it clips? Less fizzy?

I run my v.4 at 18V and it sounds noticeably better. Made my own cable for PP2. smallbear is your friend
