It's most of the ZPZ band. That's cool! I'd do it to jam some FZ repertoire with a band that knows it. Why do I get the feeling it's going to cost a bloody fortune?

If I had the skills and a bloody fortune, I'd sign up in a heartbeat. Sadly, I have neither.

It does look cool. Seems like they are sensitive to pricing (with a camping option offered).

I got the price list from the contact on the site. It's up there. There is a camping option, which is cheaper. But camping is not an option for me. I'm too old, and too used to city (and now suburban) living. It's not cheap, but I guess it could be a lot of fun.

Sounds like fun, but being in New Mexico, that would be a pretty pricey trip for me.

I am past the point where camping in the Catskills is worth saving some $$ myself. I could do it, but why when a hotel is handy? I was too lazy to look for the price but I assume its into the four figures. I figure its like a golf school.

Here's the response from Amy. I asked her if they would provide amps, or if I should bring my own too.

Hi Dave,

Thank you for your interest in the first ever DWEEZILLA Musical Bootcamp...Get ready to expand your harmonic horizons and ignite your musical creativity!

DWEEZILLAis a unique five day experience in which you will be surrounded by the members of Dweezil Zappa's core band. This musical boot camp will improve your musical skills and focus providing a wide range of master classes available for all skill levels. The musical exploration and development will occur in the heart of the "Forever Wild" Catskill Forest Preserve in Big Indian, New York at the Full Moon Resort. DWEEZILLAtakes place from Sunday, June 20th to Friday, June 25th 2010.

Disconnected from the busy chaos of the outside world, your days at DWEEZILLAwill include gourmet meals provided by Full Moon Resort, master classes with Dweezil Zappa, Joe Travers, Pete Griffin, Scheila Gonzales, Jamie Kime and Billy Hulting. Private performances, intimate jam sessions, campfires, film screenings, and of course, the study of Frank Zappa's brilliant approach to music, his career, and legacy. Use your time at DWEEZILLAto get advice from the masters, perfect your sound, learn about life on the road, master improvisation...the possibilities are endless!

Accommodations are available at the Full Moon Resort and the Alpine Inn. All DWEEZILLAactivities will be held on-site at Full Moon Resort; however, the Alpine Inn is a close mile and a half down the road. Rates depend on accommodation type and occupancy. If you select a package with double occupancy, you will share your room. If you do not sign up with a roommate, a same sex roommate will be assigned to your room...after all this is boot camp. For those of you who do not want to share, rooms with single occupancy and a private bathroom are available but are limited. It is our strong recommendation that you reserve your room as early as possible, especially those of you who would like single rooms.

Full Moon's accommodations are charming in their simplicity, with campsites available as well. Acres of fields, meadows, forests and streams provide a natural backdrop for a wonderful and memorable experience. Full Moon offers an eclectic array of simple, country-inn style accommodations. Room styles vary from shared-hall bathrooms (yes, that means you would leave your room to go to the restroom) to rooms with private bathrooms, cottages, and even a yurt. Accommodations at Full Moon Resort do not have telephones, televisions or air conditioning. Additionally, there is no daily housekeeping services for rooms. Wi-Fi internet is available throughout the facility, cable television is available in the library, and one complimentary telephone is available for local and long distance calls as cell phones do not work in this area of the forest preserve. Full Moon offers a spring-fed swimming pool, on-site access to the Esopus Creek and is just minutes from major Catskill Mountain hiking trails.

The Alpine Inn features warm, welcoming rooms in chalet-style buildings. All accommodations at the Alpine Inn have private bathrooms, modern amenities (cable television, heat/A.C., telephone and wireless internet) and daily housekeeping services. Additionally, all rooms haveprivate balconies. The Alpine offers an outdoor swimming pool beautifully situated on a hillside overlooking the valley, surrounded by tall pines, woods and streams.

If you are seriously interested in attending DWEEZILLA, please create an account on Dweezil Zappa's website: http://www.dweezilzappaworld.com/ and fill out the DWEEZILLA Musical Bootcamp Questionnaire.

The following are per person rates (tax not included) which include accommodations (Full Moon Resort or Alpine Inn), gourmet meals, and all DWEEZILLAworkshops, activities, and performances from Sunday, June 20th to Friday, June 25th 2010.

-$1,460: Camping, On-Site at Full Moon Resort (bring your own tent and sleeping gear)

-$1,600: Double Occupancy, Full Moon Resort, Shared Bath. Roommate Selected

-$1,725: Double Occupancy, Full Moon Resort, Private Bath. Roommate Selected

-$1,900: Single Occupancy, Full Moon Resort, Shared Bath.

-$1,925: Double Occupancy, Alpine Inn, Private Bath. Roommate Selected

-$2,050: Single Occupancy, Full Moon Resort, Private Bath

-$2,350: Single Occupancy, Alpine Inn, Private Bath

The following are options for people who are unable to attend the entire five nights. All listed rates are per person and do not include tax. Included are individual day use passes with and without camping.

-
$485: Day Use (No Accommodations/Camping): Includes all daily activities and workshops from breakfast to the evening activities.

-$515: Day Use with Camping: Includes all daily activities and workshops from breakfast to the evening activities with a farewell breakfast the following morning.

We are still finalizing details on provided equipment. I can certainly let you know more details as soon as it is finalized. If you would prefer to bring your own amp, this is certainly okay I am just not sure if it is totally necessary at this point.

To make a reservation, all you need to do is pick out a package that is right for you and let me know. Please include your phone number in your response so I may contact you to go over specific policy and payment information.

If you have any questions or would like to inquire about further details on accommodations, packages, transportation, etc., please e-mail me at amy@fullmoonresort.com and stay tuned to www.dweezilzappaworld.com <http://www.dweezilzappaworld.com/> for announcements.

Thank you for your interest in DWEEZILLA!

Awsome!!! Do they provide a DUMBLE or do I have to bring my own?

But seriously if I could I would hell I'd sleep on pine needles....though getting up and jamming with a band like that would seem a fairly intimidating experience
Zappa Plays Zappa did a great gig here in Boulder a year or so ago!!!.
