Drink More Stout.

Home brewed stout with cocoa, cinnamon and nutmeg. Dry with a great roasted coffee-like finish. Whipped-cream-like head with lots of lacing. The spices and cocoa are subtle in the nose, but show-up on the palate. I'm impressed with this recipe, and I may age a few for next winter. Cheers!

It's drier than I expected, but that's a good thing at the moment. I've been drinking big beers lately, and this is a nice change of pace. The spice is just right. With a little age on it, it'll be even better.

So far, so good. It changes subtly as it warms up. A little more estery, but not as a flaw. I could see it changing quite a bit in just a few weeks.

I was hoping for some late medical research that proves (PROVES!) beer is actually good for you.

I wish winter was colder in California, I'd drink a lot more stout.

All are welcome.

Pint #2 is at room temp, and it's damn near perfect. Toasty goodness in the finish. I'd make it again. If you really want the recipe, I can PM it to you.

Agreed. We'll swap beer and guitar stories. If you're in Montreal for the guitar show, maybe I'll smuggle one in when we head up there.
