Capacitor guidance

I'm replacing the blown 2 uF/50V electro cap in my SF Champ, but I'll be damned if I can find one online at all the usual places, and more! Anyone know who carries these?? Any help would be appreciated.

I am guessing that this cap is for the second stage.

Any 2 or 2.2uf 25 to 50V will work. Here are a few places to check.

www.mouser.com
www.circuitspecialists.com
Probably any radio shack store (they have a 4.7uf that should be fine

Hoffman carries a 2.2uF/100v electro cap. That should be close enough. Shipping will be expensive, but he gets stuff out faster than anyone. Weber also has a 2.2uF/50v electro, but I don't know if they have a minimum order. Hoffman doesn't.

Does the circuit actually call for that kind of voltage rating? Is the capacitor in part of the circuit that may benefit from a higher uF value anyway?

Looking at the 5F1 schematic, it looks like it is a cathode bypass on the second stage.

2uF... the only one in the circuit.

I'm not sure... can anyone help here? Am I better off using a 4.7uF?

4.7uF will work just fine.

The -3dB rolloff is well below whatever you'll be playing. 2uF....4uF....25uF......it's a fairly non-critical application.

25V is way more than sufficient.

I agree with Mark. But 2.2uF is a closer standard value. Given the voltage that will appear across it is about 2V, I say a standard 25V capacitor ought to work like a, um, champ.
