Anyone hear of this guy Tony Furtado?

Here is ebay clip with him play slide on a banjo that is killer. I never had heard of him before. I am not even sure what the music is? Is it blues, bluegrass, or something different. Whatever it is, I enjoyed it. How can it be wrong with banjo cranked up through a black face fender amp?

He's also a killer slide player. Check out the Return To Sin City / Gram Parsons Tribute DVD, he's all over that. Stage right, bald fellow ...

He at least used to live in Boulder Co and i saw him once at a jam playing banjo with a shredder type dude on "All Along The Watchtower" - I was agonized for him at first but he did very well!

I have a few Students who are really into his music. The Banjo stuff is particularly sweet. Keeps me on my toes!
