Thoughts on the Death by Audio Interstellar Overdriver

So I remember stumbling across this pedal a while back and thinking to myself, "that sounds like a very nice pedal, I need to buy one to check out."

http://proguitarshop.com/store/overd...erdriver-p-762

Things I like are the seemingly very transparent nature of the pedal and the fact that the overdrive has a very unique characteristic to it. The Soundgarden riff at the end of the video sounds stunning!

I'd like to know what you guys think! (Especially owners/former owners of said pedal).

The thing about DBA pedals is that they have 0 reliability if you gig with them.

Customer service is almost non-existent as well.

Avoid them like the plague if I were you.

I really like mine. It is a nice fuzzy overdrive. I mostly stack with it. I wish it had a tone knob but it is open and gritty and works well with my Marshall amp. I have heard a few people bitching about quality and support. I opened mine up and the build looks good and everything is tidy inside. Im not sure who had a bad experience but I do know how things get out of control on these forums. It isn't the end all be all but I keep it on my board.

some of their older stuff was a little sketchy but I think they've gotten better on quality. I have the IO supreme and gig with it no problem.

Cool! Great feedback guys...I was just curious to hear what people are thinking out there. Surprisingly, this is the first I've ever heard any complaints about build quality.

It seems like an all-around pretty cool pedal with a unique flavor to it. I think I might have to spring for one soon!

I picked one up a couple of weeks ago and it's very impressive, IMO. Mine has the master volume, I believe the earlier one's didn't have that. I compare it to my Telenordia TA-100 with a little more balls, almost like a fuzz. Roll back the volume and it cleans up well. I wonder if it's a gremanium based overdrive?
