Cool amp..played an XITS Sadie today...

Very nice amp w/humbuckers from XITS - played the 'Sadie'. I am not sold on the others in their line...more not my speed more than any knock on the amp line...but the Sadie I played for the first time today while demoing some pedals at Fat Sound Guitars was quite nice and everything one would want in an AC15. I liken it to the Vox AC15 handwired reissues but with more bottom end and more focused bottom end. It felt overblown with a P90 loaded axe, but with a stock McCarty with humbuckers it was really fantastic. I like how you get that amp to 8/10 on the volume and it sounds like a blasting AC15, then dime the volume completely and all of a sudden it sounds like a combination of a Marshall with a cranked Vox AC30! The amp is chimey- it does sport an alnico blue celestion, but the cleans are really fantastic and as you go past noon on the volume the overdrive gets more complex. It is really a great amp and I totally want one!

wow...Sadie sounds nice...

You mentioned that you did not like the rest of the amps you played in the line...Did you try the X10? Lots of great feedback so I am curious to hear your opinion.

Sorry to hijack your thread and thanks for your thoughts.

Not that I didnt like them, but just not for me. I tend to lean away from EL84 amps and love bog bottle marshalls and fender tweeds, especially 6V6 loaded amps. I do love the AC30 and AC15 from Vox, but felt like only vintage ones had the bottom end and warmth, the reissues sound ok but just dont have the bottom end and ful. The XITS Sadie just simply sounds fantastic, full, a little sparkle on top, some jangle, you find yourself playing pop tunes - then crank it and you get the best of Queen and probably countless others in a lower volume package. Its really nice. I think the other amps in the line sort of just go for it and are gainier to some degree, but I really appreciate cleans in an amp since I tend to play with the amp cranked and ride the guitar volume. The Sadie has cleans and great dirt on tap. It sounded perfect with humbuckers...just perfect

Yep, if you loved the Sadie for big glass clean, the X50 would blow you away. Mine has EL34s tho...

sounds fun...now that they are at Fat Sound (local), I can try one out when they get one..the bigger bottle amps are definitely appealing.

when i visited michael a few months back he let me play one with kt66's and i loved it. that experience haunted me and i finally picked one up used recently (thanks, fugot!). it has el34's in it at the moment but when i get the chance i'll be switching to kt66's. still sounds great with el34's. looking forward to my x-10 as well. michael is the man...
