Pickup suggestions for budget hollowbody? (Cort M-800)
I have a Cort M-800 that I was trying to sell here but I'm thinking of keeping it and playing around and modding it as it plays great--this thing seriously competes with the PRS HBI's.
It has Mighty Mite passive humbuckers with coil taps. The pups aren't bad but I'd like to see if something else improves it. I dig the sound of Trey Anastasio, and I know that a simple pickup change won't get me all the way there. Just throwing that info out there. I may even get daring and install a phase switch. So...any suggestions? thanks, matt ps--if you have something for sale feel free to hit me up with the spam.

I have a set of nickel covered, single wire Duncan 59's if you're interested. Near mint, full length leads.

'57 Classics make a great hollow body pickup. I have them in my ES-135, and they're really great.
