What Cell phone do you like the most for Internet use?
I want to get a cell phone with touch screen that is good for Internet browsing. Not sure which one to get, so I figured there must be some phone gear heads on TGP who could point me in the right direction.
Thanks. |

I'm pretty sure it has been mentioned somewhere here before, but my advice is to first decide which cell phone service provider you want to use and then get the best one they offer. For example, Verizon/Droid, ATT/iPhone etc.
A large part of your decision will be whether you're on the road a lot or not. If you are and need coverage, I suggest Verizon. Note, I have little love for any of these phone companies, but we're stuck with all of them. Also, watch out for contract terms, hefty cancellation fees for "advanced phones" etc. Good luck Yossi!

I have the blackberry Storm from Verizon. I wanted an iphone, but I am really tied to Verizon.
While some of the features don't match up to the iphone, the email program on the Storm is fantastic. My friends that use iphone have checked it out and say the Storm really is superior. YMMV |

Pick your network first, then pick your device. Your answer depends wildly on where you live and what coverage you have and if you need to travel or not.
For me, the Moto Droid on Verizon is the best web experience I've had. I've used all the top smartphones. |

iPhone if you don't live in the sticks. Otherwise, Verizon might be better for coverage but you'll have to learn to live with their version of the hardware.

I use a G1, but the Nexus One is plainly the fastest phone on the market right now. The G1 is a 528mhz processor with 192mb ram, the Nexus has a 1ghz processor and 512mb ram! That's better than a lot of computers were not too long ago!

If you went Verizon you could get the Motorola Droid. If you can't tell I'm very partial to Android phones.

iphone. No comparison with my last phone or my girlfriend's blackberry. She will be switching to iphone when her contract runs out.

Make absolutely sure your provider has really great 3G coverage in your area. Fast 3G service is what makes these phones go. They are almost useless for web browsing without a 3G connection. |
