Wasn't there an English guy in 'The Jeffersons' that was kind of like Holdsworth?

I met Sherman in the late 80s. He used to come into the GC on Sunset where I worked all the time. We BSed and talked keyboards a lot. He's a cool cat.

Anyone who used to hang out on places like rec.music.progressive and alt.music.yes on Usenet has known for a long time that Hemsley was a Yes fan.

I remember reading Horace Silver's autobiography, where he mentioned meeting Sherman Hemsley during his progressive era and discovering that he was a big fan of his United States Of Mind album. He mentioned that Sherman wanted to do some type of collaboration with him, but it didn't pan out.
Interesting stuff. |
