DiMarzio Virtual Vintage Blues - does it pair well with a bridge 'bucker?
I was going to sell my single-hum S style guitar but have decided to cut the pickguard and add a hum-cancelling single neck pickup to make it much more versatile.
My thinking is that the warmth described of this pickup by DiMarzio would be a good match with a humbucker, which is a Duncan '78. Any thoughts or other recommendations? |

Bump.
I'd like to know this as well.

I'm going to pair two of them with a Super 3 in a guitar that is currently being refinished. I've heard good things about the VV Blues, and I think it's going to be a very versatile guitar. I just hope the relative output difference isn't too great.

As an update, I picked up a Fast Track 1 and love the tone of it. In fact, I just wanted something cheap as I was considering selling the guitar and now it's the first one I grab.
The guitar was originally a 1 pickup EVH style type and I wanted more versatility out of it so I got the idea to cut a hole in the pickguard for a single coil sized neck pickup and threw the Fast Track 1 in there that I picked up used. It's got that fat Andy Timmons neck tone but has a single coil character to it. |
