American Idol's test to prove you've totally sold your soul to Simon.
They have opened the show with Wham's Wake Me Up (before you go go).
I'm surprised a few of them didn't hurl and bolt off the stage. :-) I guess Simon figures if he can get you to sing that song, he owns you. Like getting turned out in prison.

I just assumed it was Cowell that owned the record label and the AI contract. Turns out I was way off base. No wonder Cowell wants to move from AI to X Factor, etc.
