Holy Grail with PP2?

Am I mistaken or isn't the EHX Holy Grail using the same power supply as their Big Muff Pi? Will the power adapter provided with the Pedal Power 2 that works with the BMP work with the Holy Grail?

It would depends to which holy grail you're referring. The older full size one uses an 1/8th inch size plug like the Big Muff Pi where as the nano and the holy grail plus both use a negative center barrel plug like a boss pedal or similar.

I have the older one with the 1/8th inch plug.

Here's my problem, a horrible HORRIBLE hum when plugged into my Pedal Power 2 plus, I was trying to make sure the polarity and everything is the same as the Big Muff Pi. I took it back to the store I bought it from and they said it was fine.

Scratching my head here, wondering if I'm missing something rather obvious.

The Holy Grail has never used the same supply as the Big Muff. Like others have mentioned, the original HG used the same plug as the BM (including the polarity), but the supply itself was much more powerful to handle the HG.

The Holy Grail uses 9vDC, 225mA, so you'd have to use output 5 or 6 on the PP2+. And even then, it wasn't a sure bet it'd work properly. But with any of the other outputs, you'd get a loud hum and no reverb, as the pedal overloads the 100mA power supply.

On mine, I use the L6 slots on the pp2 and flip the dip switch. I've notice no loud hum.
