Paypal "GIFT" option

Hi,

What are the down sides of using paypal GIFT option as making payment on the gear? I ask because I see many seller on the forum who wants their payment via GIFT option and wanted to get better awareness on as to the danger of doing such a transaction.

Thanks!

If you want to use a CC rather than a bank transfer/debit, you have to pay a 3% fee if you use the gift option.

The seller has no obligation to ship if the Paypal payment is gifted.
