What speakers to go with a Super Reverb Head?

Just ordered a Super Reverb Head from Vintage sound and wondering what to go with for speakers?

I've got some 1 x 12 cabs with celestions but wondering if there's something preferred in a 12" or even if I should look at a 2 x 10 cab?

Josh Smith suggested Wizards which seem to get great reviews!

Any other ideas?

A 4x10 with EVM 10Ms would be spectacular. I have some that I'm going to put in mine.

I have my Prosonic in the shop for some maintenance so while it's there I'm having two EVM 10Ls installed.

Anything you can hook to a 2ohm load... so no single 12" speaker...

I was using a pair of Jensen C12K's with mine (via a Weber Z-matcher to go from 2 to 4ohms), but find tha they're too dark compared with the (4x10) Jensen P10Rs that came in the combo originally. It lost some of that snap (especially with humbuckers) that it once had.
This week I ordered a pair of Weber 12F150T's, 4ohms each so I can wire it for a 2ohm load. Should be here within a week or so.

You can PROBABLY order a single 2ohm speaker from Weber, since they hand-make everything; I never looked into those, though.

See Lochry's post about his Bandmaster cab, sounds like a very nice approach 3-10's.He used that sellor from Kentucky who many of of us are familiar.I think its hard to get away from 10's as the amp was originally voiced for same.

I've got one that has a 2/4/8 tranny.....While I do have a Z-Matcher, I've got it wired off of the 4 ohm tap right now. So, I use it with a Lopo dovetailed 2 12 cab, loaded with an Emi Wizard and an Emi Swamp Thang. Pretty good results. that freakin' cab is a thumper. I have to run the bass on the super at 2 to 3, otherwise it's just to much.
BTW, the cab has a HAD type oval back..........

Thanks for the replies fellas!

I should have said that my exisiting cabs are 1 x 12 with a vin 30 and a 2 x 12 with a greenback and a vin 30.

And yes this head will have the multi tap tranny so can be 4, 8 or 16 ohms...
