EH Electric Mistress Flanger/Filter Matrix

Picked up an old one of these the other day and recently noticed a ticking noise that changes with the rate knob. Is this a common problem with these units? Is there a quick fix...filter cap job maybe? It's not very noticeable at bedroom levels, but gets annoying at gig levels.

Mine's the old 18v double battery version. Anybody have any experience in getting rid of that annoying ticking? You can hear it in both active and bypass modes.

Anything I can say wouldn't be of much help, but Howard Davis would be the man to get a hold of. http://howardmickdavis.com/

Tried the volume mod and the pedal lost something in the process. Guess I'll just have to deal with it another way. Thanks for the tip about Davis.

Back from the dead, thread. I've got a mistress that's doing the same thing, tried new electrolytics, no improvement. Did you ever sort your problem?

send it to Howard Davis. Clock noise and he's the man to fix it.

His site is a bit vague on costs, unlike Analogman, et al. Do you remember what he charged and how the turn around was?

I sent my earliest model Deluxe Mistress to him for some mods and he was fast but he's in NY.
