Mr. Anderson

I got a hollow Classic T from a fellow TGPer. I just wanted to say it's a good instrument and even though it's a '96, Tom Anderson was very good about answering questions. I want to try one of his latest ones some time.

The guitar sounded OK and last night I took it to a rehearsal. OK became GREAT in a live situation and it cuts through the mix!

Tom is a great guy and always open to questions. I've always found him very approachable and helpful on all matters Anderson.
I have yet to play an Anderson that does not play like butter...

Hmm...first time I've heard someone say that a TA guitar was just "good". I have two TAs and think they're the mutt's nuts!

I should clarify. I am really picky. I do need to get it set up. The previous owner liked the action higher than I do and someone but ceramic saddles on it. When I played it at home my analysis was:
The neck feels great.
I like the light weight.
It sounds well...good.

Then I took it to a rehearsal with just a Valvetrain Trenton (BF Princeton sound) and Barber LTD. Then I thought:
Wow. The mid character can cut through a mix nearly perfectly. I never once felt like I was fighting with the guitar. It felt like it worked with me.

Which TAs do you have?

I have a hollow Drop Top Classic and a Cobra S. Both are phenomenal guitars! I'm also picky and set up all my guitars to fit how I like them to interact with me.

Definitely.
My last name is Smith so that really makes me "Agent Smith" and guitar is Mr. Anderson.
Where is Trinity?

I'll update again after I use it for a gig Friday night & have it set up on Saturday.
I'm putting the steel saddles back (instead of the ceramic) on Tom's advice.

I've had 10 Anderson guitars in all. I still have 5. The only reason I sold the others was because I'm playing a larger neck now. (.050 over Even-Taper)

If I were you I'd send the guitar back home for the saddle change and set-up. Tom and the boys would have that thing playing like new in no time.

Congrats!

I used the TA for a gig Friday night & it went well.

This morning I had the guitar set up and the original saddles put back on at the Guitar Factory (http://www.guitarfactory.us/) in Orlando. When they saw the first comment was "You have a TA now? They build great guitars." After being set up it plays fantastic. I've never had a bolt-neck guitar that plays this well. The original saddles put the "snap" back into the sound.

Me like!

Thumbs up

I currently own 3 Andersons. They are all stellar guitars. The Anderson Classic has become my #1 electric. It was my first Anderson and I just love that guitar.
